Only first Author can modify post – subsequent authorsnot allowed to modify page

    Hi.
    This may not be a problem with Capabilities.
    I have multiple authors for posts (with the Co-Author plus plugin).
    However, since the last week, only the first author is allowed to update edited posts.
    The other authors can edit but upon clicking Update, receive the message that the page cannot be updated.
    Any ideas?

    Can you please try give them “edit_others_post” capability and see if it resolve the error?

    That of course works, but that’s not what we want. And it has worked before.
    All co-auhors should be able to edit and save the posts, and it’s defined that way in Capabilities.

    Not sure if it worked before latest WP update or Co-Author plus update.

    Hi.
    I had a previous WP installation with old versions of WP and plugins.
    No problem in the installation.


    After update of Co-authors plus the problem appeared.
    So I’ll revert to the previous version and see if I can get in touch with the developer.

    @jroselarsen Yes please, this seems an issue related to the Co Author Plus plugin.
