Hi, Simon! I just found your “Info Popup”, and I really like it — easy but powerful, and just what I need on my site. However, I’m having a small problem. I’ve created around 15 info popups, and I want to use them with a table of data listing training programs. On the table, the same program may appear several times, as it may be offered at different locations. But the popup only works for the first instance of each program.

I am using the shortcodes inside TablePress, so I thought there might be a conflict. But I tested the issue by simply repeating the same shortcode on several lines of a normal page, and it behaves the same way — only the first instance shows the popup.

    Here is the page: https://ywamfrontiers.com/training-2/

If you go back and forth between the third and fourth entries, you’ll see the problem.

    Hi,
    Thanks, pleased you like it.

This is the second time a conflict with Tablepress has been raised – see post from cbkdsc below.

I looked at the link you sent but no instances of InfoPopup are working, and I see from the source that there is no jQuery for InfoPopup, so clearly there’s a conflict going on there.

Regarding the link not working on a plain page, please try with the TablePress disabled and let me know if it then works.

    Thanks,
    Simon

Thanks, Simon, for your quick response.

I have experimented with InfoPopup and TablePress at another site that I use for development, here:

    https://www.invitethemin.com/development/training/

I have deactivated the TablePress plugin from this WP installation. I now have simply listed the InfoPopup shortcode three times (lines 104-106 of the code). While the mouse cursor correctly changes over all three lines, the popup text only appears for the first line.

(I also tried opening the page in other browsers (Safari and Firefox – I work in Chrome), just in case I had a strange cache. Same result.)

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Using multiple instance of the same shortcode on one page doesn’t work I’m afraid – you will have to create different shortcodes for each instance.

    Hope this helps?

    Rgds,

PS.. we will try to address this issue in the next update of the programme.

Thanks, Simon, for working on this. I’ll keep an eye out for the update.

Hi, I have the same issue with tablepress. I want to use infopopup to show the full names of acronyms. Only the first instance of an acronym shows a popup; all other instances are non-functional. I understand this is how infopopup works at the moment. It would be great if there were an option in future for first or all instances.
