• Hello,

I have a suggestion for 2 options that would be useful:

    – Clear cache only for specific roles.

    – Load a new file only if it has been changed and cache all other files.

    Regards,
    Jovan

    Hi Jovan,

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately for your second suggestion this plugin is at the mercy of the caching system being used.

    Hi webheadcoder,

Well, you can add a notice:
”This setting does not work if a caching plugin us being used.”

I don’t use caching while developing.

It would help a bit to load pages faster.

Some people disable caching for the admin.

And, there are sites that don’t use caching.

Or… Maybe the notice should say:
”To use this function, you need to disable browser caching in your caching plugin or turn off caching completely.”

    Hi Jovan,

This plugin is only meant for people who use a caching plugin so it would be a little out of scope to have a feature where the caching plugin needs to be disabled. I do like your general idea though. I’ll see if it’s reasonable to check the js and css files to see if they were modified.

    Hi webheadcoder,

I’m sure that there are other users like me that are not using caching and need this plugin only to prevent browser cache, so that changes to CSS and JS files can be applied.

I only turn on caching once the website is completed.
