Only half works (search is still usable) for php5.4 & wp3.9.1

I needed to change a domain name in a wordpress site to a new domain name and an article suggested to use this. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me using php 5.4 and wp 3.9.1 to replace.

However using it as a detective to hunt out incidences of the former domain name worked well as the Result drop down shows clearly how many times it occurs and where. I then used phpMyAdmin to make the changes on the most important incidences. These were the two main urls in options, email in options and a few other places such as widgets that linked to image files.

I thought it might help people to know that you can just use the search options to find things like this and then edit manually, I would never have found many of these urls otherwise.
