Is this plugin just hides or shows menu options regarding user role, or it actually prevents access to pages?

For example, if I have menu option hidden for current user, if he knows right url to the page will he still be able to access it by typing it into browser?

@pedjas – This plugin specifically is only for hiding/showing menu items and customizing it for users.

However with that said we have a free companion plugin called Content Control that does what your after and works great along side this one.

Hope that helps. Please take a moment to click that it Works and to rate and review the plugin or support.

Thanks. This is not what I am looking for.

I need something that will make menu options to follow privileges set on page which is linked to menu.

Suggested Content Control plugin seems not to deal with menus at all.

@pedjas – To my knowledge there is no one plugin that does both. Though I can see the desire. My suggestion would simply be to use both User Menus & Content Control together. They were both built to work together and use very similar settings & interfaces. Though this still requires setting up a rule that blocks your content in Content Control and still blocking the menu items separately it is a working solution.

I will add this as a possible future feature, that if both are enabled then it will auto filter menu items based on ability to access the page. Not sure what that would entail at the moment so can’t give an ETA.
