Only one backup file keeps in my backup folder

    Hello,
    I use BackWPup for automatic daily backups of my website. I use the option “To Folder” to store backups in my website folder wp-content/uploads/backwpup-xxxxxx-backups/.

    Everything seems to work well except the setting “Number of files to keep in folder”. I have set “5” here but every day I find only 1 backup file in the folder (the actual one so it seems that it creates a new backup and deletes the older one).

    Can you help, plese? Thanks!

    Weird, please try to delete that job then create a new one to see if the issue exists.

    Hello, I tried what you suggest and it still works the same way. New backup deletes the older backup .zip file.

    Which BWU version did you using?
    Could you please try to uninstall then reinstall the plugin again?
    Also, Could you please list all the activated plugins to me(I just need the plugin name)?

    I use actual version of the BWU plugin.
    BUT! Today I looked at the backups folder and there are two backups in it. So it seems it stared working after I deleted old job yesterday and created a new one. It only deleted the older backup file when I ran it yesterday for the forst time. Now it looks everythng is working well. I give it a try and wait if it will continue working. If not, I’ll be back here.

    Hello @duongcuong96,
    yes, today I finally solved the situation — my webhosting provider automatically deletes all backup archives. So it was not a BackWPup mistake that my archives disappear. ??

    So everything is OK and I redirected my Backups to another FTP server and everything works perfectly.
