Only One Category on a Page

  • Hello. The description on how to set this code up is pretty clear; however, I am having an issues with only one category group showing up on the page.

    Where the code says category=category-slug I cut and pasted only one category slug to that and updated. I would expect the page to show up with only posts classified under that category. The issue is that all categories I currently have created are showing up on this page. I would like to limit posts on the page to posts from a single category. Help please.

    Also, is there a way to have an excerpt of the post show up verses just the title and bullet point?

    It seems others are having this trouble as well…

    If you send me the following, I might be able to look into it:

    • A link to the page where the shortcode is running
    • Paste the shortcode that’s running on that page

    Also, make sure you’re using the slug of the category or tag.. not the name or label.
