Only one marker showing up per city

Please check on the individual marker maps if they display correctly and if they are assigned to the correct layer.

They are – but I was only able to assign them to a layer when I went to Tools and moved those markers to that layer.

When I add a new marker or edit a marker, the drop down for assigning layers only gives me one option: “not assigned to a layer”

I have two layers established already, is there a reason I can’t assign one in this window?

to sum up: you created a layer first (probably with id 1), then you added a marker and couldnt choose the layer id 1 to assign it to. On the other hand, the layer is shown on tools page – right?
have you already followed the readme-first steps? especially disabling all other plugins for testing purposes. If that didnt help either, I could have a look if you like…

The mistake I made was creating markers first and then the layers. I reinstalled the plugin and it’s working now. Thank you.

Sorry to open this up again, but I find that the problem recurs whenever I add a new layer – that layer won’t show up as an option in the drop down menu where I assign markers to layers.

Would I have to add all my layers before adding any markers?

I’ve tried this on two of my sites with the same problem. One only has Askimet and Jetpack plugins activated, so unless there’s an issue with those, I don’t think it’s a plug-in conflict.

too bad. doesn’t seem to be a plugin conflict here (my plugin works fine with Akismet and Jetpack). Could be a php or mysql configuration issue. Anyway I would have to take a look by myself to say more about this (temporary wordpress admin access would be needed)
