• I just finished a site today and moved it into the root (I was building/testing in a subfolder). Everything was fine in both FF and IE, but after I moved everything, the sidebar and footer on the About Us page isn’t loading. I can’t really figure out why, because the PHP is the same for 4 of the other pages, and they are all loading perfectly.

The problem page is here and I’m noticing the problem in IE7.

What could be causing this? Thanks.

  • IE does not handle pasting from ms word very well in wordpress post/pages.

edit the page, remove all the pasted content, use a text editor and/or try to use the ‘paste from word’ button in the dashboard editor.
in case you don’t find it: screenshot
if you don’t have the two rows in the visual editor, press the button with the dark green pointer.

That definitely did the trick, but I’m not sure why it was screwed up in the first place. I didn’t paste anything from Word. I know the problems that can cause and avoid it like the plague, although I do use the Paste From Word button if it’s unavoidable.

I c/p that info from the old website, so I suppose the person before must have pasted from Word? In any case, it’s fixed and I’ll know what to look for in the future.

    Thanks again!
