Previously, all reviews were shown with the shortcode [site_reviews], but since site reviews version 5 I have problems showing all 5 of them. The database has been updated, I also ran a the migrate plugin to force-run all previous migrations.
    I don’t have a cache plugin.

What is going on? How can I show all 5 reviews?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

I have sort or the same problem. After update the rating, name and email of previous reviews has disappear. The actual review are still under > All reviews but since the data (name etc) are lost a message: “Unknown reviews are read-only.” appears.

It looks like the update deleted that data (name, email and rating) from what I can see.

I have only check in wp-admin after the info.

If your reviews say “Unknown reviews are read-only.”, it means that Site Reviews was unable to migrate your old reviews to the new database tables (don’t worry, nothing has been deleted). The most likely reason for this is that those were third-party reviews that were imported incorrectly. Version 5.2 was supposed to have fixed migration of imported reviews, but since I am unaware of the different import method people may have taken, it’s possible that I may have missed something.

Please use the “Contact Support” section on the Help page to contact me directly, and please make sure to include the Console log and the Site Reviews’ System Info.

My problem is different from @jimmyhhhh’s. I don’t see any ‘Unknown reviews are read-only’ and have not imported any (third-party) reviews. One of the reviews is displayed properly but the others are not shown.

I wil contact you directly via the help page and send you the Console log and the Site Reviews’ System Info.

    Found a solution?

I think I have an idea what may be happening here. On the “All Reviews” page, how many reviews are under “mine” (i.e. “All | Mine | Approved | Trash)? Is it the same review and number that is being displayed?

    Thread Starter Mieike

    (@mieike)

Yes! I have one review under ‘Mine’, same amount as reviews shown on the site.

The big question is what this category ‘Mine’ is for and how I get the other reviews here too. Tell me, I’m very curious …

@mieike if a review is submitted when you are logged in, then your user ID will be associated with the review (just like with a post or page).

I should have some results on this issue by tomorrow.

    Hi Gemini Labs!

The reviews on the site is from visitor who has filled in the form and submitted them. After approval they have been visible on the site.

However after the update all the information in the field Review Details has been deleted. Or at least the rows are empty under Review Details including the star rating.

The system also says, at the top, “Unknown reviews are read-only”: I can edit all fields under Review Details and click the update buttom, but no new info that I have typed in the field are being saved or updated.

Also if it exist and old table in the database, what is the name of it?

@jimmyhhhh please try going to the Site Reviews Tools page, hold down the ALT key, and run the Migrate Plugin tool

    @mieike

I think I have tracked down the cause of your problem.

Site Reviews uses advanced MySQL database queries in order to perform as fast as possible. Your server uses MariaDB for the database. MariaDB is supposed to be compatible with MySQL, but it looks like it does not fully support the complex SQL queries that Site Reviews uses.

I will shortly release a plugin update that should fix support for MariaDB databases.

@mieike Please update to v5.2.1 and let me know if it fixes the problem.

    (@mieike)

Yeah! I updated to v5.2.1 and now all 5 reviews are shown again.
Thank you very much for your quick help to fix this problem.
