thanks for your question.

This could be possible with this TablePress Extension: https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-inverted-filter/
However, using that is a little bit more complicated than for other extensions. First, install and activate it like a regular WordPress plugin. Then, you’ll need to modify the PHP file of the Extension. In line 22, the array needs to be filled with the slugs of all pages that you want to use this function on. The “slug” is the last part of the URL of a page.

I have created a page with slug search here: https://veri.ifsaacademy.co/search
Next added ‘search’ on line 22 (above See https://datatables.net….Item_1).
A table that is already created is pasted on the page (that is veri.ifsaacademy.co/search). This is the same table placed on home page https://veri.ifsaacademy.co/

https://veri.ifsaacademy.co/search: Getting a blank screen
When I click through the menu created on top bar for Search page, I get the same page similar to home page (since the table is same).
Fail to understand, why getting different output when https://veri.ifsaacademy.co/search typed on the browser directly and when clicked through top menu.

Initially, for few minutes there did appear a kind of a search screen that took the input and provided output. How within seconds the results changed!
Help appreciated.

this seems to be a configuration problem in WordPress or the server software. It seems that the / is important.
It works with
https://veri.ifsaacademy.co/search/
but not with
https://veri.ifsaacademy.co/search

This has nothing to do with TablePress though.

I have already included ‘search’ on line 22. But getting whole table instead of only search field.
Should under slug I fill search/ instead of search?
Also, how do I ensure that search is for enrolment no. field.

I understand this might be silly to you. Actually, I intended to have this Search button on home page (veri.ifsaacademy.co). But since I could not figure out what should be slug for the home page, I decided to create a new page.

the page ID is different now, it’s 8 and not 31 anymore.

However, you might actually want to look into a filtering solution on the server, e.g. using the TablePress Row Filter Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/row-filter
You could also combine that with a search field, by using the approach frmom https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/shortcode-filter-from-get-parameter/ that allows using a filter term from the URL.

With this, you could add a custom filter field (with HTML code) to the homepage and use more sophisticated filtering (on the server side, not with JavaScript, so that also full cell matching and filtering only the desired column is possible).
