• I installed plugin, setup * domain also (with cloudflare CDN, hosted on GoDaddy).

after setup, i get pageok on all the posts, there is nothing else showing in the browser window. I can see the url is changed like news.oilwire.net/catlast/yy/mm/dd/postname but inside the browser windows – it only says page ok.

I switched from Test Mode to Active mode also, but same result, clear cache and try again, but same results.

For now, I have to deactivate plugin. Please advise so i can check again.

  • If you set the pluging the right way from subdomains plugin settings and wildcard subdomains from host, it should work. Keep in mind you need to wait 24-48 hours for subdomain propagation.

Hi Ivan, thanks for the notes.

I dont know much about the details, perhaps I can share some information, which can help.

I had Cloudflare basic plan active, and since DNS was moved there from GoDaddy, I managed to add * wildcard domain. The plugin setup detected that wildcard domain is active.

Next, I slect the 3 categories to become subdomains. There was something about setting the template theme – i tried to select the default theme, save and then unselect – as it was written.

Now the issue is all the pages is showing pageok.

So, I dont know if the setup is working fine and it is just to wait for DNS propagate.

Thinking it is not working (because cloudflare FAQ is saying), I also added the 3 sub-domains in the Cloudflare DNS settings using A record. All the pages is showing pageok.

I clear the cache from Cloudflare, and also from WordPress (Cache Enabler plugin) and check the posts again.

I also try to change the TTL from default to 2 mins. Nothing changed.

Any advise you have ? Is it working ok and should I just repeat the steps again and wait for 24-48 hours.

saw your website TBN… neat and professional. I might ask you tips about news website later.

Create a CNAME instead the A record under Cloudflare’s Dns tab. Check this example:
In this example I used one category’s slug from my site to turn it into a subdomain. That’s the setting I’m using on Cloudflare and you should too. The alias must be yourdomain.com (don’t use http or www). Don’t forget to click on the cloud icon on the left to turn it orange. If it is grey it won’t work. Can you provide a screeshot from your Cloudflare’s Dns settings page? I would like to see your current settings.
