• Hi all, first of all thanks to the wordpress developer team for providing the bes blog platform ever ??

    Here’s the problem:

On the homepage of my blog I want to show only the last post and a list of the last 9 posts before the last one..check this out:

    ———————————
    header
    ———————————
    TITLE OF THE LAST POST
bla-bla bla text of the last post
and blabla bla blas lorem ipsum
    ———————————
    LATEST POSTS LIST:
    – and here is the list
    – with nine posts
    – that are made in the blog
    – ….
    ———————————
    footer
    ———————————

that’s what i want to do, but when set only one post to be shown per page, and a user clicks on a category he sees only one post per page, and i want him to see 100 per page but only their titles in a list.

can you please help me?…i’m a designer, so i’m not very good with programing ??

    thanks

  • 1. Download the custom query string plugin, which allows you to set the number of posts that display on a page by per-page basis (example: 1 post on home page, 15 posts on cat page).
    2. Read this Codex article. Place this tag above your footer, as noted above, or in your sidebar.
