I’m not sure if this is a misconfiguration, bug, incompatibility or a feature

The DM plugin only replaces the URLs for the domain mapped on the current site.

    Thanks Ron,

I can see that this is a sensible default behavior but I really need all mappings on all sites. Can you point me in a direction on how I could achieve that or would I need to rewrite the whole thing? (feel free to speak actions/filters/code, I’m a developer)

You wouldn’t need to rewrite it all but you would probably want to re-architect some of it.

Are you saying you have links on a page, and you want to use the mapped URLs in the links instead of the unmapped ones?

That will work, with the plugin as it is, just put the URL you want in the link.

(As long as the mapped URL works, of course. Do your mapped URLs work? https://metaebene.me/cre seems to work…)

They work, but the manual links were just an example. I need all URLs generated by WordPress (permalinks, category links, etc.) to be mapped. The non-mapped URLs redirect correctly but unfortunately that’s not enough. They need to be rendered in their mapped form.

On my sites, the URLs for the current site are not replaced in content. For example, pg.ecenergygroup.com is mapped to https://www.ecpowerandgas.com, but when I use Insert Link in the editor, it inserts href="https://pg.ecenergygroup.com/the-link instead of href="https://www.ecpowerandgas.com/the-link, and that is how it is displayed on the front end, too. Same problem with media.
