Only works on images

  • Try as I might, with the latest version of everything installed, I can’t get anything other than images to work. Neither iFrames, nor YouTube links will Fancyboxize. I’ve even tried adding the various CSS classes or rel tags to my links, as per the original Fancybox website, yet it still doesn’t work.

    However, if I add the javascript to handle the iFrames myself then it does work, so it’s something that this plugin is doing that it causing the problem.

    To be honest, I can’t even remember which site it was that I was having the problem with! In the end, though, I gave up trying to use a plugin for Fancybox and just implemented it directly in my theme files. The instructions are all on the Fancybox website: https://fancybox.net/howto

    It does require knowledge of editing the theme files, adding HTML and JavaScript, so if you’re not confident about doing it then best not to!

    (one pointer – when you type in the JavaScript, replace every $ with jQuery)
