    Hi!

As many users here – I cannot finish the process, I always get error at the final step. I tried adding your snippet, but WordPress doesn’t want to save it in functions, it says there’s an error in the code, I quote:
syntax error, unexpected ‘:’, expecting ‘;’

I cannot insert the snippet, I cannot finish the process with multiple sites (I have this error with more than 10 sites!) – I really find this frustrating. I know you’re doing your best, yet…

    Hey @peteto2006

Thanks for contacting us about Facebook for WooCommerce! I am happy to help out ??

The snippet should work, but is generally used with a different connection error. With the Oops! error, it is most often due to a number of other issues. As you have more than 10 sites experiencing this, are there any commonalities that you can think of between all of them?

Just to make sure you have checked the most common causes of this issue, can you please verify the following:

    • Your pixel, catalog, and Facebook extension must all be under the same Business Manager account.
    • Your site’s timezone setting must be set to something other than UTC+0 (WordPress > Settings > General)
    • Your site’s currency must be supported by Facebook. If it is not, temporarily switch to a supported currency and attempt to connect.

Can you please check that the above three items are all correct for your sites?

    Cheers,
    Steve

Thank you very much, Steve! It was the currency problem! I guess it’s not supported, I temporary changed it and it connected.

But now I receive this error:
Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!
With WooCommerce logo on top ??

    Hey @peteto2006

Glad that we at least made some progress on this ??

For this connection issue, we have a snippet that will give us some additional error information, which may give us a better indication as to what might be happening here. Can you please add the following snippet to your site and attempt to connect to Facebook again? If you aren’t familiar with adding custom code to your site, here is some information as to how to do it. Personally, I like the free Code Snippets plugin method.

You can view the snippet here:

    add_filter( 'wc_facebook_connection_proxy_url', function() { return 'https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/';} );

Once the snippet is in place and you have had a chance to try to connect to Facebook again, would you please send a screenshot or text of any additional error messages that show?

    Cheers,
    Steve
