    Hi guys,

Can anyone please help, I have the plugin installed and connected to MailChimp. list chosen. However it shows “Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.” error every time.

In the WP plugin, on the “other” page, it shows “MailChimp API error: 404 Not Found. Resource Not Found The requested resource could not be found.”

and in the mailchimp API Keys page, it shows “2018-01-17 11:42:54 GMT nope PUT /lists/…/members/…/ php 0.031s mc4wp/4.1.14; WordPress/4.9.2; my_website_url 3.0 The requested resource could not be found.”

Does anyone have any idea to fix this problem? much appreciate.

Did you delete any list(s) from your MailChimp account?

Can you go to MailChimp for WP > MailChimp page and click “renew lists” and then go to MailChimp for WP > Form > Settings and see if a list is selected?

No, all the lists are there. And the requested list is selected.

Do you see the error as soon as you connect with the API key or after submitting a form?
Can you pleas try and generate a new API key?

Can you share a link to where we can see/test the form?

    Thanks!

Resolved. It was related to the ‘required’ fields of my form vs mailchimp backend

I had a different reason for the Oops. Something went wrong. error. I was testing the form with my email address, and deleted my email address in the Mailchimp List, so I could sign up again. When I went back to testing the form, I started getting the Oops message again. On checking Mailchimp’s API page, I found the error was “[email protected] was permanently deleted and cannot be re-imported. The contact must re-subscribe to get back on the list.” I’m assuming that one cannot re-subscribe via API?

    Hello @imemine,

I’m having similar problems and I note you said…

What did you do to fix it, please?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hey Will,

If you create a new topic then we can assist you better.

For what it’s worth, I wanted to share my experience. Had the same problem but none of the above resolved the issue. In my case, it was a minor unchecked box. My MailChimp account had just one list. I created an API key, plugged it in on the main configuration page for MC4WP and it said it connected just fine. Below the API key, it listed the correct name of the list, its list name, AND the correct current number of subscribers. When you clicked “Renew MailChimp Lists” it successfully renewed. It was only when you tried to add subscribers that you got this error message.

The problem/resolution: On the Form page, when I clicked over to Settings, next to “List this form subscribes to” there was nothing checked. My list was there but it wasn’t checked. I checked it and the problem was solved. Seems a little unintuitive that this would not simply be checked by default. But there it is.

    Hi,

I have the same “Oops something went wrong problem” when my users try to register for my list. I’ve tried all the solutions suggested here and read the article https://kb.mc4wp.com/fix-the-oops-something-went-wrong-error/ but I’m still getting the error message.

    Please help,

    C.
