    Hello,

    After I save a post/page I receive this message:

Oops! That page can’t be found

When I come back, the “update” button in editor is not functional. To make it work again, I have to reload the page.

I’ve found some topics here on Wp foruns to solve this issue, but none of them works. I did:
    – disable all plugins
    – disable mod_security
    – re-save the permalinks
    – delete the .htaccess file and build another one.
    – contact my host company to check the server

I’m using the Make theme + Make pro plugin.
The site is hosted on Dreamhost

I will be glad to hear any idea to solve this. Thanks!

  • – ensure your theme is the latest version
    – try the default theme to be able to rule out a theme issue
    – check in WordPress root and /wp-admin for plain text files called error_log, these may give clues
    – put this line in wp-config.php, it will make any errors show:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    Hello!

I tried everything: debugging, remove unused plugins, remove unused themes, change the theme to default one, increase memory via php.ini and wp-config.php. Also a clean install malfunctioned as well.

The only thing that works was change all my sites to the Dreamhost VPS. I’ve migrate all of them 2 days ago and since of them, the problem seems fixed.

    My guess: memory issues.

@lorro thanks for your help ??

Are you using Dreamhost shared hosting? They automatically and unceremoniously kill off processes that use too much CPU/memory. I have about 10 sites running off the same account. I get errors all the time because in total they use too many resources. I’m in the process of moving everything to a $5/month DreamCompute instance where I can hog the whole server for myself.

    Hello @richpav!

I was using Dreamhost shared. I move all my sites to the VPS and the problem solve. I want to test the DreamCompute. Are you liking the service?

So far so good. I don’t have my sites running yet, but compared to other cloud hosting companies, DreamCompute’s features and price seem like a good deal. The only problem, which is temporary, is that their e-mail service for DreamCompute users is somewhat broken, so I have to set up my own.

@ellp I just discovered you can save yourself many hours of work by using https://easyengine.io to set up your cloud instance. It’s a free suite Python scripts that automate provisioning and monitoring of Nginx, PHP, MariaDB, Postfix, memcached, and many other extras. It can also set up new WordPress installs with one command. It’s absolutely amazing.
