Open External link through image

Hey,

I know I’ve done this before, which is only further infuriating me that I cannot figure this out, but how do you get an external link to open in an iframe with an image activation?

I’m using a .jpg of a button, and I want that image when clicked to open this external URL into an iframe. I know I’ve done this before, but for some reason whenever I do it now it opens some random url that I didn’t enter.

I’m using this as reference:

[wp_colorbox_media url=”https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/image/lightbox.jpg” type=”image” hyperlink=”https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/image/thumbnail.jpg”%5D

I don’t know if this is broken, but I cannot get an external page to open with a media item, only text.
