    Check ‘Open in browser’ option in WPDM basic settings.

    Achhh, thank you! But is there no option that a single file would open in a new window?

    No option for new tab. It will require customizing link template, which is available in pro version. You can manually create one custom template, but it will be lost when you update plugin.
