• Hello!

My name is Jesse, and my website is pistilsnursery.com. We’re running the Hayden theme by Themetrust, on wordpress 4.4. using the latest version of the Yoast SEO plugin.

I’m writing because although I’ve enabled the open graph meta data setting on the facebook tab of Yoast’s social settings, verified my domain with pinterest, and successfully applied for Rich Pins, images from my website do not appear as rich.

In the past, I was successfully able to get some of my article pins to show up as rich. However, it seems as though all pins from my blog have reverted to non-rich. I’ve contacted Pinterest’s support about this, but they’ve been unable to provide any solutions.

When I run my URLs through the rich pins validator, they bring up the error: “We are unable to retrieve any data from your URL”. Interestingly, the “rich pins enabled” checkbox is green, but it’s unable to pull my site name or favicon. The same link, when run through the facebook link debugger, pulls the correct title, description, image etc.

    Here’s an article URL: https://pistilsnursery.com/low-light-terrarium-plants

Could this be a problem with the open graph markup added by the Yoast plugin? Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any suggestions as to how to get all of my articles display proper markup to pinterest?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Jesse

    Hi Jesse,

We’re experiencing the same problem. We had Rich Pins working for quite some time, but now they seem not to be working consistently despite having all the meta data that Pinterest requests / Yoasts adds. Pinterest shows our site as validated for Rich Pins, but that it can’t retrieve any data.

Curious if you ever got any support on this or heard a solution. Thanks!

    -John
