Open Graph Images Not Displaying

  • Hello guys, strange one regarding the sharing of products/pages via social media share links which I’ve tried my best to resolve but nothing is working.

    We have “AddToAny” social media share enabled on the site along with AIOSEO, the AddToAny simply gives us the ability to share pages/products via social media and we have set up the “Open Graph” settings in AIOSEO accordingly. We didn’t have any issues a month or so ago and we have since went from tillyoak.com to tillyoak.co.uk but can’t be sure when the issue with sharing on social media began but we know it was working around a month or so ago. I still have the .COM but it is now using .htaccess redirects to CO.UK but I took the redirects off, tried .COM again and they are not working either, so it’s likely nothing to do with the change from COM to CO.UK?.

    So, sharing a page/product brings back a 200 response from FB, all good, and all the info is there, it just WILL NOT display the picture/preview. We have went through all the plugins and disabled them, changed the skin, removed cloudflare, flushed the cache, and pretty much done just about everything we can think of but no matter what, the image preview will not show on sharing or via the sharing debugger.

    I’ve also tried a different browser (both chrome and Edge) and even cleared browser caches.

    The strange thing is, on the mobile, it works!. Somehow it’s just affecting the desktop display but having just checked if it’s working on the mobile I can confirm it is. Using the debugger, it still won’t fetch the image preview, but actually performing the share from a page will display the image and text snippet as expected!.

    I know it’s likely a massive ask, but if anyone can offer any other pointers or advice as to how to progress with this matter I’d sure appreciate it.
