• Im running yoast seo next to woocommerce and have added open graph for facebook, twitter, pinterest and google+. I add product prices without vat, allowing me to just add my profit to the products base price and not have to calculate the vat amount. Woocommerce handles this perfectly for me. I’ve noticed however that the price of my products is being crawled by google and displayed without vat. Is there an easy solution to add the vat to the schema markup?

  • @yardco have you found a solution for this yet? We’ve received a similar question and we wanted to check if there was a solution already. Thanks.

Unfortunately not. Would really love to have a solution!

Thanks anyway, we will see if we can find a solution. VAT is a pain by itself, then the new EU VAT rules made it even more complicated. On top of that, VAT rates keep changing (Romania at the beginning of the year, Greece in June). Talk about headache.

Please let me know if you do find a solution. VAT with the new EU rules are indeed a pain in the a&). Makes you wonder what was wrong with the old rules.

In case we’ll find a solution, I will let you know. About the EU VAT rules, all I know is that we had to spend hundreds of hours to develop a plugin to handle them (you might have stumbled upon it), just to find out that the VAT we collect is the equivalent of a handful of peanuts. Now other countries jumped on the bandwagon, with many to come. It’s going to be a non-fun ride.
