Open Graph URL not matching canonical

I understand that the og:url doesn’t match the canonical URL, though by default, they should be the same. Can you share the URL of the affected page?

Here’s a example link: https://croxxings.com/music/page/69/

If an Open Graph URL does not match canonical, this indicates that the Open Graph microdata for that URL points to a URL that is distinct from the one that is set in canonical.

@terrencetriggs Thanks for your confirmation. We can confirm that Yoast SEO doesn’t use the paginated archive page number URL as the?og:url?meta but use the main paginated archive URL instead.

However, if you’d like to change the og:url to match the current page on the paginated archive URL, you’ll need to perform customization by using the wpseo_opengraph_url filter. You can find more information about this here.

Where do I put the code to edit such thing? I tried putting this: https://getbutterfly.com/how-to-fix-open-graph-url-not-matching-canonical-when-using-yoast-seo/ in my theme functions.php file but broke the entire site

Is this code even right to make it work?

We cannot comment on the tutorial you found; you should reach out to the author. Have you checked this? The code snippets can go anywhere in your functions.php file after the opening <?php tag as long as they are not within another piece of code. The easiest option is to paste it at the end of the file.

What exactly would I put for “current_domain.com” & “new_domain.com”?

current_domain.com = what the URL is
new_domain.com = what you want to change it to

Clearly there is a answer that is straight forward like the code for new url with current page that I can’t put together. I guarantee you know the exact code I need that I could copy and paste but you’re choosing to give me a “figure it out” type answer so just close this thread because it’s clearly pointless trying to get a direct answer.
