Open image in new window does not work

  • I put an image on a blog post and go to edit image – advanced settings – open link in new window. However when I update and check it does not work. Sometimes it does and others not. I can’t see a rime or reason to it. Also, any way of opening an image in a new window that still shows it within the blog page as opposed to just the raw image file?

    I see. May I suggest you try Lightbox plus plugin.

    Just add the code * rel=”lightbox[917]” * at the image link.

    eg:

    <a title="Organization Chart" href="https://domain.com/user/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/chartrevised4.png" rel="lightbox[917]">View Our Organization Chart</a>

    The photo will pop up in a lightbox like Facebook photos instead of showing in another new window in raw form. ??

    That was a bad example because I actually edited the link. My problem is that it won’t save when I update the open link in new window.

    I’d rather stay away from plugins if I should be able to do it with natively with WP.
