I currently, using something like IImageBrowser, have the ability to add thumbnails to a post and have them linked to full images.

This works very well, but I would like to add a twist. I would like to click on the thumbnail and have the full size image come up in a wordpress page template that I have created.

I could do this by creating individual pages for each image and then linking the thumbanil to the individual pages, but this takes forever if a post contains multiple images.

Is there anyway to have the image open up in the template, almost like a frame?

  • WP 2.0.2 does that by default.
When the image is uploaded below the writing area, click on the thimbnail – menu options will show up. Clcikcing on those options they “toggle”; se select
    Using Thumb
    Linked to Page
    Send to editor.
Then publish the post and the thumbnail will open a page with the full szie pic, plus you can comment etc.

    Moshu,

I hate to bug you, but where do you then change the template for “Link to Page”?

That is so bizarr….I was just coming here to see if I COULD have an image open up in the template page instead of just the image by itself. Wonder what I have done? Hmmmmm.
