    Hello:

I prefer my images to be displayed on a page rather than opened in a lightbox. I prefer this because of SEO reasons, it gives Google another page to index and can bring in more traffic.

However, when I change the settings in the Other Options > Lightbox Effect to “None”, it just opens the image by itself, just displaying the JPEG image in the web browser. I want the image to display within my WordPress site template, so the image and its description will be displayed on an HTML page within the theme layout with the rest of my site. How do I do this?

    Thank you for your help.

@psychedeliczen – Our images in our default displays link directly to the “original” image, if you want your images to open in a theme related page you will likely need to create a custom display type/template that will trigger your theme’s image.php or attachment.php (or similar) template file instead.
