    Hi guys,

I hope this is the right place for this post. I have a weird issue. I can upload images just fine and do everything with them, including edit, adding title, description, etc..
All images attach to my posts and pages just fine too.

However when I click on an image to open the full size, I get Server error 500. I have figured out that the problem is from file permissions. i am running my WP on IIS7. The problem is that the newly uploaded image does not inherit the security from the Uploads folder. To be more precise my IUSR is not given read, execute and list folder contents rights. Also all newly uploaded images do no inherit the owner of the folder. So every time I need to take ownership and add IUSR and then it all works.

How can I fix this permanently

I figured it out – under IIS Authentication – Anonymous Athentication – Select Application Pool identity! instead of Impersonate with IUSR
