Open in same tab setting is not saved in 2.0.2

    I just updated to 2.0.2 from 1.8.5 and the experience was not so good.

    First of all, after the update the bottom bar was just white space in the height of the cookie consent bar, no content was showing. Only after going into the settings of the plugin and saving once, it showed the bar again.

    Secondly the option to show the “More Info” target in the same tab does not save. So currently you can only open the info page in a new tab.

    If I had auto plugin updates turned on, this would have broken some functionality on the live site. That’s why we are not using this feature but have a test site where we try to test every plugin update before rolling it out on the live site.

    Also the “No problem” button now floats to the right which makes it hard to find for people with high res screens. It’s nice to have it as an option but I would not just change standard behavior of a plugin with an update.

    Nevertheless I am very grateful for this plugin.

    Thanks for your feedback and apologies if the update has caused you some problems.

    We’re going to fix the ‘More Info’ target and change the float on the button in the next update.

    You can revert to your original settings before the update via the ‘Reset plugin defaults’ button on the settings pages – under the ‘Save Changes’ button.

    It would be helpful if we could somehow replicate the behaviour of the content in the bar that you noticed. Could you give us some more information about the theme and other plugins you are using, or just a link to the site?

    Update issues like this are tough to troubleshoot… I speak from experience ??

    I cannot give you access to the test site but I can point you to the live site which is still running the old version of the plugin. Maybe this helps a bit. It’s https://mooji.tv.

    The theme we are using is a custom theme based on Bootstrap.

    Thanks again. I’ve made some fixes and version 2.0.3 should be available in your dashboard shortly.

    Please note that we have made some changes to styles from version 1.x so there are going to be slight style differences. One of the purposes behind the update was to have the notification styles follow theme styles more closely. But you shouldn’t see any broken functionality.
