Hi, great plugin. One of the view which I like. I was wondering if it’s possible to open a specific lightbox gallery on a page through a simple text link such as “View gallery” without showing the actual thumbnails on a page? Btw using Kadence Theme and Gutenberg. Thank you.

To open a gallery you can use the link as shown in your browser URL bar when you open the first image in the gallery. For example:

    https://wordpress-demo.arnowelzel.de/lightbox-with-photoswipe/#&gid=2&pid=1

    Or as HTML code:

If this does not work on your site, check if you enabled the option “Update browser history” in the backend settings.

If you want to have different lightbox collections for each gallery block, you can enable “Show WordPress galleries and Gutenberg gallery blocks in separate lightboxes” in the backend settings.

In addition: this only works when you are not already on the page.

Opening a gallery using a link on the page itself is not possible this way. This would need to send a click event to the first image link of the gallery.

Thank you for your quick answer. I was able to achieve opening a lightbox containing an image gallery through a text link with this method.

    View Gallery

    Hidden
    Hidden
    Hidden

It’s not the most convenient solution but it seems to work.
