Open Portfolio Galleries in same window

    Hi there,

    I am currently trying to switch to the Jetpack gallery system on my webpage because the portfolio plugin I found isn’t working the way I want it. I like the way the slider works on any given gallery page, you have a bunch of thumbnails and when you click on them it opens the slider and Tadah! Life is good.

    What I would like is that when I place the [portfolio] shortcode on my website it open the slider from there. Or perhaps allow a few thumbnails to be shown and go to the slider from there. I want the visitor to stay on the same page!

    Its a one-page simple portfolio page with a CTA to contact me at the bottom. The idea is that its simple, introductory and mobile friendly. No page changes, no getting lost down different blog pages, no fancy menus. K.I.S.S!

    Oh, the webpage that I linked to is still using the original portfolio plugin. The page where I am experimenting with the Jetpack Gallery option is here:

    It sounds like you’re referring to Tiled Galleries and Carousel:

    Portfolios are distinct from Tiled Galleries and Carousel.

    At present, our Portfolios don’t offer the functionality you’re looking for, but we will take your feedback into consideration for future updates to this feature.

    I think I will make one single big gallery then, put all my portfolio pictures in there and just give them a name and number in the description.
