Open Sans magically appeared all of a sudden

  • I am a graphic designer that maintains a number of WordPress websites. Needless to say I am in the WordPress dashboard at least once a day. I just saw Open Sans being used in the dashboard for the first time today. I am using that font on a website so at first I thought my CSS was somehow overriding the WordPress styles but logging into another website proved I was wrong. Should I be concerned that I am just seeing this now? I auto-update WordPress so it is not that.

    Was there recently a patch for Mac Browsers?

  • This has been a part of core since 3.8, so it’s been around for a little while now.

    Yes I understand that, that is why I was wondering why I have just started to see it today and if anyone else has had this experience.
