Open Sans not rendering properly

Hey, Looking at your site at least one place in your theme options your loading the Lato font. Can you check your theme options > main settings. (logo and tagline)
Your theme options > shop settings (product title font)
Your theme options > typography settings (h1,h2,h3,h4,h5 and p)
Your theme options > menu settings (primary, secondary and menu)

Also I’m not seeing the issue in those browser in windows 7 or mac. Can you test by logging out?

Is there a place that seems to get the issue?

Hi guys,
I have opened my website in another computer that uses Windows 8.
And in google chrome the same error ocurred. In internet explorer fonts rendered well, but not the logo (in my pc photos do not render well in internet explorer). I have checked all theme options and switched all fonts to Open Sans. I don’t know what to do…

I would resize your logo image that will help with the rendering in IE.

There was an bug that google chrome had in versions below 37 can you confirm your using the latest version?

Any chance you can post a link with a screen shot of what is happening?

I am using Google Chrome 40.

ok, so it is’t that the font isn’t being used. Your just wanting a better render from chrome. I though you were saying that the font wasn’t open sans…

So font rendering is completely on the browser, there isn’t a lot you can do with those subtle differences, but I can try this:

I disagree with you that the font rendering is completely on the browser, and it would be much more professional from your side to just assume the responsabilty and admit something is wrong with your theme.
I have opened my website from different browsers on different computers and the ‘font rendering issue’ keeps appearing.
If you keep on refusing to deal with the topic I will have no other choice than to choose anothere theme.
By the way I have tried the trick you mentioned above and it didn’t work.

Sure hope we are talking about the same thing. But I look at your photos above where you have good and bad and from what I can tell the differences are in the weight and sharpness of the way the font is rendered. That is very much a browser thing and I would very kindly request that you do a little google search about it. There is tons and tons of research, tutorials and hacks of people tying to get web fonts to render the same across all browsers.

The google web fonts loaded by the theme are loaded in the way google recommends here: https://www.google.com/fonts/

And you can do a test with the browser rendering by looking at this page in different browsers: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Open+Sans

I did a screen capture one with chrome on a mac and one with IE on an emulated PC,

I am really not trying to cover up for this theme, and if I knew of a solution for you to try I would gladly pass it along but from all the research and testing I’ve done this truly is a browser thing.
