Open share in separate small window?

Currently when we click on a FB, Twitter or Pinterest share buttons it opens the shares dialogs in the same browser tab/window taking the customer off from the Storefront site. I think a best practice would be to open those share dialogs in a separate small window. That way we are not taking the customers off from the site when they share some product. Users/Customers most likely just want to share and continue shopping (hopefully).

Is it possible to apply this behaviour to the plugin instead the one it currently has?
