opened mails not marked in stat

    Hi there!
    i started today trying mailpoet.
    sent to myself 2 mails, one to outloook and one in gmail and opened both of them.
    I realized that no open action was marked in mailpoet newsletters stats!
    Only when i made any click in the mail, than the opened/clicked status changes….
    is it normal?
    also – if someone see my mail by paging around in outlook withouth opening it – is it possible to know that he red it that way?

  • Hi,

    Email statistics systems work via images and clicks, so if you don’t enable images and don’t click anything, it will not register as being opened.
