• After installing the OpenID wordpress plugin “WPOpenID” on https://www.dbaplace.com/wp-login.php, I tested it using the authentication server myopenid.com. Using the same software myopenid uses I installed my own authentication server at https://www.oidd.net. This server works perfect for signup and authentication on external sites, but whenever I try to autneticate locally using the OpenID plugin for wordpress I get the error “OpenID Authentication Failed: Bad signature.”. At first I thought this might have been a transparent proxy rule I had setup to make “user_name.oidd.net” translate transparently to oidd.net/?user=user_name, but after disabling it this does not seem to be causing the error.

Have you tried contacting the plugin author about this? Also, which version of WP are you running this on? If you’re running WP 2.1, is the plugin compatible with it? Just was wondering..

I seem to have a similar problem. I have a WordPress blog, where I can use OpenID from myopenid to log in just fine. However, when I use an openid hosted on the same machine, I got this “bad signature” error. I just experienced this problem last night, and was doing some research when I came across this post. Did you find a solution by any chance? Thanks.
