• This is not a support issue, rather just a query on setting up NextGen gallery in such a way that the gallery opens in a popup or the way the ‘thickbox’ style shows the gallery, when clicked on an image rather than show all the images. How do I do this?

  • Just to clarify, you want to click on a thumbnail, which will open a gallery of many thumbnails, and then click on those thumbnails to open the full size images?

It sounds like you’ll need to open an iframe with the first click, or ajax html. It looks like Thickbox is able to do those.

No, I want to directly open a gallery when the image or thumbnail is clicked. I think Thickbox is able to do that but I have no idea how to do it.

I don’t think I understand your question. If you just want to click on an image and open a gallery thickbox doesn’t have to be involved at all.

Can you explain what you want to do again?

Well, when I use the NextGen gallery with any of the effects, I have only 3 options in NextGen, slideshow, image browser and image list. Here’s a test post https://thegxblog.com/?p=35 . But I don’t want it that way, I just want a single thumbnail to be displayed to viewers, and then when someone clicks on it, the gallery opens using whatever effect I want to use. I hope I made it clear.
