• Reproduction

    1. WordPress (Backend) → Block Slider → Add new
    2. Created a new slider with 3 slides. Saved.
    3. Clicking view page opens https://mydomain.com/block-slider/slider-1234/

Loading this page results in error 404 This page could not be found.

    Environment

    • Block Slider 2.1.6
    • WordPress 6.2.2
    • Gutenberg plugin 15.9.1

This error message seems to me like a problem with routing. Is your plugin using the standard WordPress routing?

FYI: My WordPress routing works elsewhere without issues:

    • I have beautiful permalinks ON<span style=”font-size: inherit;”>.</span>
    • <span style=”font-size: inherit;”>I use a customized .htaccess, with the normal WordPress routing block intact.</span>
    • On my Staging Website where I tried your plugin I’m behind My Private Site.
    • I experience no other routing issues.

    Hello,

I have a suggestion that might help resolve the issues you’re facing. I recommend regenerating/flushing your WordPress permalink. If you’re unsure how to do this, you can follow the steps outlined in this tutorial post.

It appears that both of your issues are possibly related to this, so regenerating the permalinks might do the trick. Please give it a try, and let me know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Munir

    • Regenerating permalinks has not helped.
    • As of v2.1.8 (or WordPress recent upgrade to 6.3) search works correctly as I reported in detail.

? But viewing sliders under their standalone URL still does not work as of 2.1.8. Still gives a 404

Yes, this hasn’t been addressed yet. Should be fixed in coming updates.
