Openning links to documents (PDF, Word etc) in a new window

  • Hi,

    Trying to get to the point where I can click on a document link within my website and it opens said document in a new tab. I’ve tried various plugins with no luck. Is anyone able to point me towards a plugin or solution that works?

    Has anyone managed to get a piece of code such as:

    <a href="https://dev.elevatebusiness.com.au/gsi/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/GSIAnnualReport2015-16.pdf" target="_blank">test</a>

    to work?
