I am running v 1.5.7 of collapse-o-matic. When I was setting up the website all was well. Today, the site went live and I noticed that my page that uses collapse-o-matic now opens with my “hidden” information expanded, rather than collapsed. But if I click my browser’s refresh button, the page refreshes with all of my collapse-able items COLLAPSED. And all can be manually collapsed by clicking on them. So it appears that the plugin does work, but not on initial load of the page.

I get the same result in Chrome, Firefox and IE.

My page can be viewed here: https://empressbridge.com/?page_id=9

My “Only load scripts with shortcode” box is currently UNchecked, but I get the same result both ways.

I did read the forum and tried rolling back to v 1.5.6, but had the same result with that version.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

One note: WP is installed in a subdirectory on my server. I installed it in the /site/ subdirectory during config, before the new site went live.

It is still technically in that subdirectory. I “moved” it using this technique: https://askwpgirl.com/how-do-i-move-wordpress-from-a-subdirectory-to-the-root-directory/

And noticed that at least one plugin needs to be modified if WP is installed in a subdirectory as per this article: https://www.hyperarts.com/blog/best-contact-form-wordpress-plugin-cform/

I searched for a similar location specification in wp-content/plugins/jquery-collapse-o-matic/collapse.js, just in case a similar issue was in effect, but didn’t find anything specifying a file location in that file.

I can’t say for sure whether the plugin was working earlier today, prior to “moving” my WP, but added this info in case it helps narrow down the issue.

    Thanks.

Bizarre. I have made no changes and – just as suddenly as it stopped working – it is now working properly again. Doesn’t really make me terribly confident in it’s dependability, but we’ll see how it goes.

Are you by chance using a cacheing plugin?
Did you clear your cache after you moved your site?
Please report back as to it’s ‘dependability’.

Hello, I found this thread which resembles my issues. Have tried my website with different browsers recently and this morning with Internet Explorer 9. All hidden content appeared expanded when the page was loaded, also after reloading a few times. I could click the titles and they would hide. Thanks!

this issue marked as resolved. rather than re-open it, please start a new thread and include a link to your site. Also mention if you are seeing this behaviour on IE9 only, or others browsers as well? what about different computers, different internet connections?
