Opt-in emails sent without checking box

    Hi,

    I’m using this plugin and a customer let us know he received an opt-in confirmation email whereas he didn’t check the opt-in checkbox during his order. He was obviously not interested in our newsletter, so he was a bit angry to receive a mail to confirm his subscription.

    This is very annoying and I don’t understand what I missed in my settings.
    Did you have any bug report from other users or a solution ?
    We updated the plugin today (Version 2.1.9) but same problem.

    Hi @elsappy, thanks so much for reaching out and we apologize for any confusion. I checked with the development team at MailChimp, and this was a temporary glitch with their platform about a week ago. The issue has since been resolved, so you shouldn’t have any more of these errant emails being sent.
