• Hi!

I was wondering: in order to get the best visual results with the Home Page Slider, what image size and format should I use?

Thank you in advance for your help with this!

  • Same question from me. I set the maximum height of the slider to 350, make sure all images are a height of 350, but the slider just shows a pixelated sliver of the images. Would be very helpful to know how to size images so they are ideal for slider. Thank you.

i am running website [Link redacted],post title font size is so big,any body can tell me how to reduce size of post title using css.

@Khalandha, you should open another thread.

For me, my slider height is at 500 and my images are 960×420. I don’t know why but it fits perfectly. Hope it helps

I’m working on the slide too. Don’t have it all figured out yet but my images i make in Photoshop work so far at 1280×350.

Can you tell us what is your slider height? default?

The slider max is 350. If you go to the themes options panel ans select homepage not (homepage content)and go to the bottom there are 2 settings(enable full width slider and slider height max where you can adjust it. The default is set to 350 px. Check out my slider at 1280 px x 350 px: [Link redacted]

I used 1280 x 300 with max slider height set at 350 to give me the best result.

@nirmal2me, If you need help with your theme then please contact your theme’s vendors. We only support themes distributed on www.ads-software.com.

If you check out the sample images they give you, they are all 1500 x350 @72 DPI and the slider is set for 350.

I’ve tried all of the above and the slider still crops all of the photos I add to it. The slider is currently useless.

    Anyone else having problems?

Ok, I have sorted this. The problem is that we have all thought that the theme would take resized photos and post them. Provided the height of the photo is the same as the ‘Slider Height’ then we shouldn’t have to worry about the width, right? WRONG

The slider will only (possibly, I have not tried different sizes) accept a photo that is 1500 (width) x 350 (height). The chances are that if you resize a photo to this size then you will have to ‘un-tick’ any aspect locking and the result will be that this will distort the photo.

The way around this is to start with a blank canvass with the same colour as the background colour of your site and set to 1500×350. Then past your photo on to it and then save the canvas as a jpg. You can then use this photo for the slider.

This nugget of info would have saved me hours. I hope this helps someone else.
