As the automatic optimisation no longer works on any of the seven sites I have installed WP_Optimize 2.2.4 onto I have to run them manually. I also use UpdraftPlus. When I click “Run All Selected Optimisations” UpdraftPlus takes a backup, the window changes to “The backup has finished running – View Log” then nothing happens. The optimisation does not happen. If I close the window I have to manually run each section i.e. “Optimise database tables,” “Clean all post revisions.”

Each of the websites I use WP_Optimize 2.2.4 on is different and each one is on a different server. What is going on?

    Regards

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

    Apologies for the delay.

What version of UpdraftPlus is currently installed on the site?

    UpdraftPlus Version 2.14.12.24
    WP-Optimize Version 2.2.4

With “Take a backup with UpdraftPlus before doing this” switched off, it works fine. With it switched on, the backup happens then nothing.

    Hi,

    Thank you.

It appears that there is a general bug in WP-OPtimize/UpdraftPlus which is preventing the optimisation from running after the automatic backup.

This has been passed on to our developers, and we should be able to release a fix soon.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

This is fixed in the latest UpdraftPlus release of a few days ago. Sorry for the trouble!
