    Hi,

I am trying to make my site run as fast as possible. I am using a tool on the web called GTMetrix.com

It assess you site for performance. One of the issues it raise is that a number of theme images are not optimised. eg the RSS.png image. Its is 30K in size.

I tried to extract the file from the files and opening it up in Photoshop so I can optimise it.

Would you be able to send me the following files in png format, Adobe Photoshop so I can compress them.

? /wp-content/themes/raindrops/images/rss.png could save 31.0KiB (97% reduction). See optimized version
? /wp-content/themes/raindrops/images/h2.png could save 25.5KiB (88% reduction). See optimized version
? /themes/raindrops/images/header.png could save 24.3KiB (88% reduction). See optimized version
? /wp-content/themes/raindrops/images/footer.png could save 24.3KiB (91% reduction). See optimized version

    thanks Robert

    Hi SureAqua

    Your proposal is great

I think if you can provide, the image file that is optimized, and to replace the image.

Raindrops theme because it is GPL2 license, is it can be provided with the same license?

    I appreciate your suggestion

    Thank you.

Sorry, I donot understand what a GPL2 licence means?

I would hazard to guess, but I am no lawyer, if we just optimise the image is not an issues. We are only just reducing the file size,

Could you please send the original files.

    thanks Robert

Use of the theme, but no warranty, but in order to clarify that anyone can use freely, you have a GPL license.

    please see

It was after about 3 weeks, and then change the resolved because there is no answer, especially

I did the same optimization with GIMP, you can download the optimized images from https://siamogeek.com/raindrops_images.zip

In the ZIP file you will also find a screen capture of the setting I used to save the PNG file.

GIMP is a free multiplatform image editor, more info on https://www.gimp.org/

I release the images under GPL License
