I moved from Short pixel to Imagery after I bought WP Rocket.

But in Imagify I can’t choose the optimization level.

    Where is the option?

    Hi @pandasonic2,

We have released an update on Imagify(v2.0) and we introduced Smart Compression.

With this new Smart Compression, there are no longer Optimization levels to choose from, and instead, Imagify’s optimization algorithms analyze each image and determine how much compression should be applied to each image.

This can be helpful because some images may be suited for higher amounts of optimization than others, so this allows each image to be optimized as much as possible without affecting the quality too much.

However, if you do find some images are affected too much, for each image in your Media Library (list view), you should see this option:

    5yAnGV.png
    Full-sized Image – https://i.vgy.me/5yAnGV.png

This allows you to re-optimize the image to a lower level of compression that should not affect image quality at all.

?However, we will reintroduce the possibility to choose optimization level in the next release (v2.1) which should be deployed by the end of this month.

    Hello @pandasonic2 ,

Just wanted to thank you once again for your feedback and to let you know that we have released v2.1 of Imagify.

In this version, we have added the option to choose Lossless compression level snd to reoptimize images in the Bulk optimization page.

We would highly appreciate if you give it another try and let us know what you think.

    Best Regards
    Marko

This is a good thing. I wasn’t the only to request this feature. Now I reverted to Imagify from Shortpixel since your plugin requires less DB resources
