    That particular image wasn’t created by WPP, actually. It’s from your uploads folder.

    Thumbnails created by WPP are stored in uploads/wordpress-popular-posts. In your case, the size of these thumbnails is around 214 bytes. There’s not much you can do to optimize them since they’re already quite small.

    Edit:

    If you want to improve your site’s speed, you should also consider reducing the number of articles / posts displayed in each section of your home page.
