Optimization size works on pages but not posts
-
Hi Jordy,
Thank you very much for keeping your terrific plugin updated and in great shape! I am experiencing a problem, which may be caused by an unresolved issue in Gutenberg. I am not sure. I have set the optimization size in Meow Gallery to “medium”. This works great on my pages – you can check the gallery on the front page of my site. Whenever I create a Meow gallery in a post, however, the optimization size isn’t applied. Instead the grid image displayed is always the original full size image.
In the page gallery, the full size image is only shown in the slideshow with expanded images, which is how it should be. I have read many issue threads on GitHub about the problem in Gutenberg, where scaled gallery images are not displayed – for instance this one: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/20778
If so, the optimization in the Meow Gallery should’t work at all, but it does, at least for pages.Maybe there is something causing the issue in my configuration, but I can’t figure out what that could be since the galleries should be identical whether they are on a page or in a post. FYI I use Meow Gallery in conjunction with ARI Fancy Lightbox and Easy Watermark, set to watermark only full-size images.
Best regards,
Chris
