Optimize your website and databases

Can anyone tell me what I have to do

I have some issue that’s occurring to our Server/website (currently our website is on WordPress “Avada”).
And this is what I got from my hosting Company

“Thank you for your patience, as I checked , there are too many process running on the account causing the issue” .
“The repeated ones are : /home/ccdcedu/public_html/index.php”
“I have killed the process as of now , please check the website now”
“You will need to optimize your website and databases and also check on the cron jobs for preventing this issue”

I would Appreciate if anyone could help me what I need to do.
So I could prevent our website from going down again.
