Optimus to OptimusHQ

  • Hi Optimus Team,

    I have installed Optimus (free version) and had run the bulk optimization tool to optimize my images and was exploring OptimusHQ. I have a couple of questions before I decide..

    Q1. I have 7 files/versions for each image – 1 original (that I upload), 3 auto-generated by wordpress, and 3 auto-generated by WPRM plugin. Optimus only optimized 1/4th of ALL my files (as per your green color indicator in Media Library). I am unable to understand whether:
    1. Optimus only optimized original file?
    2. Did it pick all 7 versions and process only 1-2 of them? (In which case which are these files considered, and optimized)
    3. Did it only pick 4 versions and process 1 of them? (In which case which are these files considered, and optimized)

    Q2. I need the WEBP functionality and was considering buying the OptimusHQ license. However I read somewhere that if my library is already optimized (when using free version) that I will not be able to run Optimus again on my existing photos to convert them to WebP. Is this true? That would be surprising as that means I will only be able to optimize my new images but not my past work.

    As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. As you are their potential customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
