Option for content and sidebar width

  • Hi and thanks for your awesome theme.

    It would be great to have an option to customize the width of the sidebar and the content. For example, to reduce the size of the size bar and to enlarge the content part.

    Hey there,

    You are very welcome. Glad you like the theme. Your idea is GENIUS!!! Never thought of that…hmmmmm. I believe it could be done.

    If you do not know, the entire theme is based on Foundations’ Grid System, which is a combination of rows and columns.

    I will give this a try and see what I can come up with. If I can achieve something like this, I do not believe it will come out with the next update, 5.5.2.2 – Maybe after.

    Either way, this a AWESOME idea and I thank you for it. I hope it works. Remember, if possible, please leave a review of the theme.

    No problem, I wanted to modify the width of the media secondary and content ids but cannot find how to modify the foundation css, it is not within the theme css ?

    Actually amigo I think the best way to do it is to modify the columns in the theme. The way to do this is with a child theme.

    In order to do this copy index.php and sidebar.php into your child theme. Now open index.php and look for the following:

    class="medium-8 large-8 columns

    change the number to a higher number, like 9 or 10. Now open up sidebar.php and look for the following:

    medium-4 large-4 columns

    change this to a lower number like 3 or 2.

    Whatever you do the columns have to equal 12. hope this helps.
